PREWORK: set your goals

The official onset of our plan, create, and deliver your data story course is quickly approaching! Before class begins, we encourage you to take a little time to get familiar with the OKR goal setting process and set your own goals for the 8-week course. We also invite you to join and explore the online SWD community, which we’ll make use of each week. Complete your profile so we can get to know you and understand your goals.


ORIENTATION SESSION

We’ll have an optional orientation session on Monday, January 6 at 11AM ET. This is your chance to meet your instructors, get an overview of the course site, see the content we’ll cover, and learn specifics related to the final course project. Join the session to ask questions or pre-submit your query here.

Sign up/log in to the SWD community & complete your member profile.
Reflect: what is your primary objective or goal for this 8-week course? How will you measure and assess progress? Add your objective to the current goals section of your member profile in the SWD community.

Start looking ahead to your course project
We will discuss the course project further during our first lecture, but in the meantime, please review the course project page and start thinking about a topic of interest.

On January 13, we’ll dive into the art of feedback through our first lecture and corresponding assignments.
